The contest on writing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works on the theme of “Studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Uncle Ho and Uncle To” in 2024 - 2025, in the Mekong Delta province of An Giang, has become familiar to journalists, artists and creators inside and outside the province. In 2024 - 2025, the contest will expand the content of writing about the example of studying and following the beloved Uncle Ton. At the same time, it will be widely launched, becoming an important political, cultural and artistic activity of the Party Committee, government and people in the province.
All Vietnamese citizens, regardless of age or gender, whose works are suitable to the theme and content of the contest are eligible to participate and be selected to reflect the efforts in popularizing, disseminating, and educating the ideology, morality, and style of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton in the entire Party, army, and people.
For literary and artistic works, the contest genres include literary memoirs with less than 4,000 words a work, photography, and folk songs. Journalistic works include reflective articles and articles about good people and good deeds with less than 1,500 words a work; television and radio reports with less than 10 minutes; radio stories with less than 15 minutes. The works must be published and broadcast from January 2024 on newspapers and magazines inside and outside the province; the province’s electronic information pages and portals and radio and television stations.
In the 2022 - 2023 season, the contest received 1,312 entries in various categories. The quality of the entries has been significantly improved compared to the previous season, reflecting the comprehensive efforts of each unit, locality, organization and individual in An Giang province in popularizing, disseminating and educating Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style; deeply and emotionally portraying the images of individuals and groups that are exemplary in perceiving and following Uncle Ho.
According to the organizers, after nearly 8 months of launching the new season, the sectors and localities in the province have paid attention to deploying and widely popularizing the content among cadres, party members and people./.
