Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Ukraine Nguyen Hong Thach emphasized that teaching Vietnamese language to the children of the Vietnamese community in Ukraine in general and in Kiev city in particular is very important, because the mother tongue will help them to communicate with their relatives in the homeland, contributing to preserving and promoting Vietnamese language and culture in the host country and more importantly, helping improve their career opportunities if they want to return to Vietnam to work and live in the future.

Therefore, the Embassy is very interested and ready to create the best conditions for the children to learn Vietnamese.

The Ambassador wished the teachers and students of the Vietnamese class to complete the tasks well and achieve the best results at the end of the course.

For her part, Ms. Larisa Panteleivna, Principal of the high school, expressed her delight at the fact that the Embassy and the school have made great efforts to overcome difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to organize the opening of the Vietnamese class at the beginning of the new school year.

According to her, this is a very meaningful activity right after the Embassy and the school signed the cooperation agreement for the period of 2021-2026 on September 10.

She asked the teachers and students to make strong efforts in teaching and learning to respond to the interest and facilitation of the Embassy and the school.

Ms. Do Thi Hoa Ly, a teacher of the class, said that she would organize the class seriously and effectively, and overcome difficulties caused by the children's level differences and the uncompleted curriculum, so that the class would achieve the highest efficiency.

After the opening ceremony, the delegation of the Embassy visited the Ho Chi Minh Museum Room in the school's campus and discussed embellishing and adding artifacts to the museum room in the coming time./.
