Mongolian professor honoured for promoting Uncle Ho’s image abroad

The award was presented during a ceremony held by the Vietnamese Embassy in Mongolia on March 17.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mongolia Doan Khanh Tam emphasized that President Ho Chi Minh's life and career is closely linked with the glorious history of the Vietnamese revolution, of the Vietnamese people and peace-loving people around the world. He is the genius leader of the Vietnamese people, the hero of national liberation, and a world cultural celebrity. President Ho Chi Minh is also the person who laid the foundation for the good traditional friendship relationship between the two peoples of Vietnam and Mongolia.

He sincerely thanked Prof. Dr. Dastsevel for his great practical contributions, dedication and affection to the country and people of Vietnam, especially President Ho Chi Minh, as well as contributing to strengthening the solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the two peoples of Vietnam and Mongolia.

He also expressed his belief that, in the coming time, Prof. Dr. S. Dashtsevel will continue to pay special attention to spreading enthusiasm to future generations of Mongolia as well as Vietnam in the cause of promoting the friendship and traditional cooperation between the two countries.

The Chairman of the Mongolia-Vietnam Friendship Association expressed his honor to receive the noble award from the State of Vietnam, considering it a source of great encouragement as well as strength to continue to work hard to contribute to the development of relations and cooperation between the peoples of the two countries and activities to honor President Ho Chi Minh, a great and close friend of the Mongolian people.

Prof. Dr. S. Dashtsevel is a doctor of linguistics (Vietnamese Studies), author and translator of many works about the country and people of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh into Mongolian, including “Diary in prison”, ''The life and career of President Ho Chi Minh,'' ''President Ho Chi Minh: Life and times,'' ''The Tale of Kieu,'' ''Hon Dat'', and many other translated publications./.
