Uncle Ho’s 130th birthday celebrated nationwide

This year, the Sen Village Festival will be organized from May 15th-19th in localities in Nghe An province with a wide range of activities held nationwide, as part of celebrations of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday (May 15th).

Aiming to show Vietnamese people’s gratitude and respect for President Ho Chi Minh, the festival also targets to disseminate President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style; and promote the image of Nghe An, President Ho Chi Minh’s hometown, to the country and international friends.

There will be ceremonies to offer flowers at Uncle Ho Statue at Ho Chi Minh Square, a march to Uncle Ho’s hometown, ceremonies to parade Uncle Ho pictures, and ceremonies to report work with Uncle Ho.  

Diverse sports, travel, art performances, exhibitions and art events will be held during the festival, including the national volleyball tournament, tours to Nghe An province, Sen Village singing festival, mass art performance, painting exhibition, “ASEAN countries and humans” photo exhibition, “Ho Chi Minh – best name” exhibition, film week about Uncle Ho, and book festivals about President Ho Chi Minh.
