The Hai Duong Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has just issued a plan to organize the “Tree Planting Festival in eternal gratitude to Uncle Ho” and strengthen forest management, protection and development in 2024.
The move aims to effectively implement the Prime Minister’s decision, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s plan and the direction of the provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee on organizing the “Tree Planting Festival in gratitude to Uncle Ho”, contributing to increasing forest coverage, improving the ecological environment, limiting the impact of climate change, and protecting the environment.
The Chairmen of the district People’s Committees direct and request businesses, units, agencies and schools to actively respond to the implementation of the Tree Planting Festival in the area.
The People's Committees of Chi Linh City and Kinh Mon town need to focus on managing and stably protecting existing forest areas, strictly protecting natural forest areas and special-use forests, and ensuring that the province’s forest coverage rate by 2030 is stable from 5.2-5.6%./.
