Following Uncle Ho’s example encourages An Giang to carry out useful constructions

Notable is the project on increasing social involvement in building rural bridges. According to the provincial Department of Transport, the province has mobilized VND807 billion, including: from businesses, over VND369 billion; and from communities, over VND153 billion, 1,523 square meters and 117,164 working days. As a result, 581 rural bridges have been completed.

According to Mr. Le Van Nung, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, the project aims to make specific the campaign on studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style; welcome the Party Congresses at all levels; and celebrate the 132nd birthday of President Ton Duc Thang.

Many constructions Long Xuyen city built both hold political significance and satisfy the demand for socio-economic development, for increasing people’s living standard, including upgrading and expanding roads, pedestrians’ streets; and restored revolutionary relics.

In Cho Moi district, over VND1.2 billion has been mobilized from communities to build rural roads in My Phu village which is 2,200 meters long, and a bridge in My Thach village which is 37 meters long and 3.6 meters wide.

Secretary of the Cho Moi district Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Nguyen Thi Bich Lieu, said that to welcome Party Congresses at all levels, union members have contributed working days from 12,000 members, and collected resources worth over VND6 billion to build 22 concrete bridges. Moreover, they have also contributed to repairing irrigation dykes, cultural houses and recreation locations for children.

Meanwhile, Phu Tan district has registered to build 43 construction and 36 other projects to welcome Party Congresses at all levels.

The An Giang General Hospital has put into use the molecular biology laboratory which was licensed by the Ministry of Health to be eligible for testing SARS-CoV-2 and some other infectious diseases, contributing to containing the spread of the diseases, and presenting new progress in provincial healthcare.

The completed works put into use not only contribute to boosting local socio-economic development and bringing happiness to the people, but also meeting the needs and legitimate aspirations of the people and strengthening their trust in the Party's leadership./.
