Aiming to recognize the purpose and meaning of "Tree Planting Day" as well as the role, great effects, comprehensive and long-term benefits of tree planting and forestry, every year, the provincial Military Command develops plans and directs agencies and units to effectively implement the tree-planting festival.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Tran Duc Sinh, Political Commissar of the Dien Bien provincial Military Command, requested agencies and units to widely popularize the meaning and practical effects of the tree planting movement, raising awareness for officers and soldiers about planting and caring for trees, protecting trees and forests, contributing to environmental protection and building green, clean and beautiful barracks.

This year, agencies and units under the provincial Military Command strive to plant more than 1,500 trees including perennial timber trees and banyan trees on the training field area; fruit trees in the production area and ornamental trees within the unit’s premises.

After one day, the Military Command of 10 districts, towns and cities, the Dien Bien provincial Military Command agency, and the Infantry Battalion No1 (Regiment 741) planted more than 1,500 trees of all kinds, contributing to creating a green, clean, beautiful landscape, and creating an atmosphere of competition for military training and exciting production in the area./.
