The 14th Hanoi Congress of Uncle Ho’s Good Children will be held on November 9-11, with the participation of 300 outstanding individuals representing over 1.3 children nationwide; and thousands of teachers in charge of Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization’s operation at schools.

The information was provided by Nguyen Duc Tien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and President of the city’s Vietnam Youth Federation, during a press conference held on October 7.
According to Mr. Tien, among 300 outstanding individuals, 98 won high prizes at city, national and international contests in science; 52 won high achievements in cultural, art and sports competitions; 95 were good leaders of Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization’s operation at schools; and many were disadvantaged children who gained excellent academic results.
The most important event of the congress is the honoring ceremony taking place on October 9. Accordingly, over 100 individuals will be honoured, and 90 disadvantaged children will be presented with gifts and bicycles.
The 2020 Congress of Uncle Ho’s Good Children marks the 79th year of development of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization, with generations of members having become leaders, outstanding citizens, doctors, engineers, scientists, teachers or skilled workers./.
